Graduate Center faculty teaching online during 2021 can receive educational technology support from various centers and initiatives.
The Carnegie Educational Technology Fellowship Program provides faculty with daily walk-in office hours, individualized consultations, workshops, and a discussion blog during the Spring and Fall 2021 semesters. This fellowship’s long-term goals are to expand faculty comfort with educational technologies during the COVID-19 era and after in preparation for the return to in-person instructional modalities.
In addition to the Carnegie Fellows, faculty and students can find useful resources and support at GC Digital Initiatives and the Teaching and Learning Center.
CET Fellows offer daily office hours during the Spring 2021 semester where faculty can get quick answers to questions related to their teaching. See our office hours schedule here.
Faculty may also choose to schedule a longer consultation where they can receive training on a particular technology, assistance with an assignment, request a class visit from a fellow, or talk through other matters related to their teaching. Faculty may enter a request using the form on this page.Â
GCDI and the Teaching and Learning Center are also home to two Open Educational Technologists who support the development of projects and courses that use Manifold and the CUNY Academic Commons.
